Data Entry Screens

GAME DETAIL SCREEN

This screen contains the fields needed to define each game in your season. While you could enter each game when the schedule comes out, we recommend entering the data after the conclusion of each game.

The game number is shaded red because this value is used for batting and pitching entries. The white boxes hold the information that defines the game: date, field, opponent, home and visitor, score, and winner/loser. The gray boxes hold calculated information: game result and season record.

The opponent list contains all the team names in your league, and the blue/gray buttons are for data entry convenience.

This screen also contains a list of games played.

Batting Entry Screen

BATTING DETAIL SCREEN

This screen contains the batting statistics summarized in the score book, calculations for the player, a notes field and a list of each player entered for the particular game being entered, in the order they were entered.

The red boxes hold the information that define the game and player being entered, the white boxes hold the statistics and the gray boxes hold system generated calculations.

We recommend that any field not used be left blank rather than filled with a zero. In our opinion reports look better without zeros as placeholders.

 Pitching Entry Screen

PITCHING DETAIL SCREEN

Simlar in functionality to the Batting Detail Screen, this screen contains the pitching statistics summarized in the score book for a player, calculations for the player, a notes field and a list of each pitcher entered for the particular game being entered, in the order they were entered.

There is also a series of memo fields to be marked with an "x" to indcate in which innings a player pitched, and whether the outing was a win, los or save.

The red boxes hold the information that define the game and player being entered, the white boxes hold the statistics and the gray boxes hold system generated calculations.

As with batting details, we recommend that any field not used be left blank rather than filled with a zero.
